Maniraptorans are a group of dinosaurs that had a lot of unique traits,such as a backwards hip bone,long arms and true feathers. We know that birds have all of these traits. That is why we classify birds as birds and not fish reptiles or mammals. Maniraptora means hand grabbers.

There are 4 groups in manraptora: alvarezasaurids,oviraptorsaurs, deinonychosaurs, avialaens, and the therizinosaurians.
